They have released Wordpress 2.6 (Release Candidate 1) and from the way it is worded, they appear to be ready to Release the Stable Version on Monday, barring any glitches that show up in the meantime.
For myself, I will wait for the final release, and then a few days as well. Most of the changes will be about security, but there is one major flaw, or change, that could effect your Plug Ins and Themes.
I am going to let the dust settle for a bit, as I really don’t want to go through more plugin nightmares. :bang:
I have a new setup to do today… so I may as well go ahead and give this a shot now, instead of having a paniky client trying to upgrade from 2.5.1 in a few days. I’ll let ya know how it goes
Be interesting to see… somehow I am thinking if we do, it’ll be late, but given their history, I doubt it… They never seem to release exactly on the date they expect to… but we’ll see… :rolleyes:
