Re: Wordpress Backup
https://managewp.com/ will also backup for you (on a schedule if you take a paid version), but nothing can beat a ‘proper’ backup solution either from your webhost or a separate CDP provider.
Re: Wordpress Backup
mysqldump to sql file, download a copy…that’s the easiest way
Re: Wordpress Backup
By the way if someone has a good backup solution, please give us the tip
I already have server backup but it is only available for one day and I think it’s a bit expansive currently.
I have 800gb and I have to pay around $120 montly for this.
Thanks

Re: Wordpress Backup

$120 a month for just backups ridiculous. That’s about half the cost of having another dedication machine. I don’t know who you host with but the company I host with has data centers in various locations around the globe. I backup my data from one machine to another via rsync so each machine amongst the data centers has it’s own copy of the other machines. The host I use “Softlayer” provides private backend connections where they don’t charge for bandwidth on very fast connections between each data center.
I keep my backups for 30 days so I basically have a daily snapshot for the last 30 days. The most I would lose is the 24hour period between backups.
If you already use more than one server this isn’t that hard to set up… Just install or use additional drive space on each machine and copy data back and forth between them via a script. Much cheaper than $120 per month…
Sincerely,
Kevin.
Re: Wordpress Backup
yes but I have absolutely no tech knowledge and my server is fully managed.
No idea how to setup this
