What was your chargeback ratio this year?

Just looking at the numbers in Stats Remote. I’ve got 0.14% chargebacks. If you include credits it’s 0.45%. Last year I was 0.22% (just chargebacks) and 0.86% (chargebacks + credits), so it got better this year.

When people talk about staying under 1% is that just chargebacks or chargebacks + credits?

If you calculate your ratios - make sure you divide by sales + rebills since the denominator should be total credit card transactions, not just initial sales.

The other question would be why affiliates like me are affected on CCBill scrub days? Clearly if I’m 7 fold under the magic 1% my traffic is pretty good… You’d think CCBill would take the traffic source into considerations when determining risk of a particular transaction.

Re: What was your chargeback ratio this year?

When you talk about staying below 1% in its just chargebacks… Visa/mastercard doesnt “care as much” about your credit ratio, ofcourse if its high they might start looking at it but overall its not their main consern as giving a credit means that the customer complained got their money back which they see as a happy cutomers where as a chargeback is a pissed off customer and they are all about keeping their card holders happy.

My chargeback ratio for the year to date is 0.1% according to CCBill and my refund ration is 0.2% again according to CCBill so i cant complain.
