We like things Simple and Easy. Can you help?

Over the years, while I was at Buddy Profits and now Pinstripe Cash, I always pushed our teams to redesign our affiliate newsletters to be simple and easy to use so they were most effective.

Today I spent a few hours looking at affiliate newsletters from other programs… and it got me thinking.

Other programs add promo content that we do not. But, I wonder, do YOU use them?

So, can you help? In your opinion, would or do you use the following promo content (for each new video release):

  1. GIFs
  2. Standard banners
  3. Tube clips
  4. Premade collages

And, is there something we absolutely should add to make your promotions easier that we do not or is not listed?

Your help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

My 2¢…

GIFs do well on social media. So affiliates who focus on that will want them.

Banners – define “standard”. Banners are super useful. But personally I’d want them in lots of different sizes. So mix it up. I think generic ones for the site have a much longer lifespan than ones that are scene or model specific. And they don’t need to be in the newsletter. Put them all in a banners section on your site. But highlighting that you just added X banners that week could be a useful item to mention in the newsletter.

Tube Clips – If you mean longer promo videos, yes please! They’re great for tube sites, but can also be really useful for blogs, etc.

Collages – eh, I know some affiliates like them, but I’ve never liked them personally.
