I have a small list of guys I follow more closely than everyone else - they tweet almost exclusively about their sex lives and they’re incredibly active sluts - so it’s pretty entertaining. My two absolute favorites are @gangbangboi & @dolfdietrich. For example @gangbangboi gave himself the challenge of getting 500 loads up his ass last month and I think he managed to get something like 565. (BTW Michael - he managed to do that in Toronto!) And with World Pride coming to Toronto one of his goals this month is to get 100 loads in 24 hours - I’m guessing he’ll manage it too. Dolf I love just because he’s not some regular guy doing porn - instead he’s a total slut and exhibitionist at heart. There are pics on his Twitter timeline of him doing public nudity at gay pride parades, he tells how he goes to bars and winds up taking loads in the bathroom, and so on. Basically he’s really active sexually and he loves to talk about it.
Anyway, BOTH of those guys have gotten their accounts suspended - @gangbangboi in the last 24 hours, Dolf’s on the 30th of May. So I’m a bit worried. Is Twitter doing some sort of crackdown on adult stuff?
Dolf says Blue Bailey told him that you can tweet anything you want, but your avatar and main/header pic can’t be pornographic. That got me worried and just to be safe I’ve removed potentially problematic photos I had in my profiles (thank god I didn’t get caught).
But I still wonder if that’s enough. My accounts are all tagged NSFW (except the one that is safe for work). Have you guys heard of problems with Twitter? If so, what was the reason for the problem? How do you avoid having your account suspended? I always thought Twitter was completely porn friendly (if you flagged your account as NSFW). I guess it’s not.

I haven’t heard anything about this, and I would have thought it would have made some news in the adult world if it were true that Twitter was cracking down.
But then again, our BlokeToys account was refused advertising, even though Twitter’s own T’s & C’s clearly states that adult advertising is permitted in the UK. We did try to get a response from them, an explanation of why, but just like all other internet corps they ignore people asking questions. Some larger adult retailers have advertising accounts, and have no problems, but another smaller company had the same experience as us and suggested it was down to a bigoted staff member reviewing the applications and being homophobic - again, just like Facebook and some other net corps who don’t like to face questions.
It could be anything, someone crusading against them and reporting everything they post, or a bigoted staff member going on their own crusade with no rules to abide by, or maybe these accounts just broke some rule about porn imagery or identifying their accounts as adult? It could be anything, but the chances of ever finding out are slim to none.

Never had any issues with Twitter at all. Never heard of anything like that before. But two around the same time? That does make you wonder… But so many Twitter uses post nude and hardcore stuff though.
Could it not be because they have broken some other terms or Twitter policy other than nudity/hardcore?

No, I mean the parts that show up in people’s timelines - the avatar and the new profile header pic (which you haven’t set up yet). I think the problem is that someone who’s generally NSFW (let’s call them @XRated) might have a tweet that’s completely safe for work (e.g. “Sarah Palan is a moron - look at what she just did⦔). If that tweet gets retweeted by a “clean” / safe for work account (let’s call them @GRated) the avatar shown in the timeline is the one from @XRated. So suddenly an x-rated pic could show up in the timeline of a follower of @GRated without warning (we’ll call them @EasilyOffended). OR, let’s say @XRated’s avatar is fine, but a their profile header pic is x-rated. Now when @EasilyOffended clicks to learn more about @XRated s/he will see a porn pic unexpectedly in the profile preview. Again, a problem. Now I think, presumably, Twitter won’t care if @EasilyOffended is dumb enough to click through and goes to @XRated’s full profile. @EasilyOffended probably can get some clue that they don’t want to go there by looking at the profile preview, and if s/he does go there, at least Twitter can restrict access to the media section. And if Twitter is really worried about the click-thru they could put a warning dialog on the link to the full preview.
At least that’s my elaboration of Blue Bailey’s theory. It makes some sense and in the absence of a better theory it’s the one I’m moving forward with.
I followed Dolf as well and don’t recall seeing anything particular “off” about his Twitter feed.
I didn’t follow the other guy, but a couple of possibilities spring to mind. Twitter has a couple of rules:
If a large number of people are blocking you;
If a large number of spam complaints have been filed against you;
Perhaps someone found the 565 loads offensive and went on a campaign to get his account shut down. (We don’t need to launch into a huge debate on whether taking 565 loads up your ass in a month is offensive or not. Some people will find it so, others will think it’s great.) But getting hundreds of people to log complaints with Twitter sounds like a tactic someone could use to try and get Twitter to apply either of the above rules.
I have no idea if such things are possible, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
I saw a YouTube video of some woman claiming Instragram banned her page simply because she had a pic of her bum in underwear and her large cheeks were hanging out the sides. Instagram decided that was pornographic and violated community standards, but after she published the YouTube video, Instagram reversed it.
Bjorn, they’re not talking about pornographic pics in your timeline, they’re talking about your avatar or the header picture at the top of your Twitter page.

Can you guys give me an opinion on whether my header photo on @rawTOP, @Studio3X and @MachosCalientes would be considered “pornographic”. Nothing is showing, but stuff is clearly happening in the pics. Do you guys think those pics will get me in trouble?
(I’m still working on a new avatar for @rawTOP - that’s my old one and it looks like crap, I know…)

They seem okay to me, but I’m not Twitter. I had my paysite’s Facebook page deleted because someone was touching their nipples.
Why push the envelope? This isn’t a place to make a point. Why not just make those images completely “clean”? Or maybe just don’t have any images at all until a clearer picture emerges.

If you’re worried I’d definitely change @rawTOP. The header image shows cock & cum after all. The others I wouldn’t personally consider pornographic. The right (or wrong) person at Twitter may think otherwise though.

Something else to consider is at what point someone mentally “fills in the blanks” about the image. Two guys are kissing – ok, my mind says “that is probably going to lead to more, but I don’t see that yet.” But where two guys are obviously naked, have their legs wrapped around each other in the cock zone … mentally I’m adding “they are having sex.” and that could possibly get you flagged for being pornographic, again, it depends on who is doing the reviewing of the image.

What image are you looking at? The current image has a little cum on the guys pec, but that’s all it shows, and it’s a little difficult to figure out it’s cum unless you know. I thought it was pretty safe.

To be on the safe side I wouldn’t use it.
We had a couple of feeder profiles(pushing the boundaries with the headers but no dick etc) suspended a couple months ago - fine they give you the opportunity to clean things up, but do you need the hassle?
Ever since then I make sure all headers and profile pics are compliant. Doesn’t affect the amount of followers or RTs anyway.
Edited to say - once you have been suspended said profile is on the “watch list”. Our images got resized(apparently larger NSFW images can get resized, who knew) and all kinds of crap. So, again, not worth the hassle IMO.
