testing new niches

there was a time when many webmasters told me that nudity was absolutely required to make sales. then i licensed a bunch of non nude gay foot content that sold as well as some non nude catfighting content.

and then there was that $99 picmaster disk - 5000 gay pics. everyone said “don’t buy it - those pics are sooo overexposed!”. well, i licensed it because some of the guys looked so str8 and made thousands of dollars with it. not a bad return, i must say. of course, at the time years ago, most people were telling me that guys jacking off didn’t sell as well as hardcore, yet my straight guys jacking off site i made with those pics was one of my best selling AVS sites. so was my grandpas jacking off site. and our uncut jackoff site and our big dick jackoff site.

i could keep going, because in all i tried out over 20 niches that i was told on boards wouldn’t sell, but the bottom line is that it’s always worth throwing together an AVS site or making a smaller paysite - a friend of mine made a 4 video paysite just to see if the site he wanted to make would sell. it did, like crazy, and when he saw that, he had more videos shot and went from there. most niches sell - it’s always worth testing to see how much traffic is out there.

Re: testing new niches

That’s actually quite refreshing to know.

I often come up with ideas and think, I wonder if it would work - and the only way to find out really is to try…

and it’s surprising how many of those niches can be tested with cheaper ounique content. i did grandpas, grandmas, girls in socks, girls with freckles, guys in glasses, amateur chicks in bikinis, muscle, wet tshirts and lots of other niches with a few sets each, the sets cost $10 or less.
