I don’t understand the perception that a gay man is self-deprecating, self-loathing and/or self-hating if he fantasizes about straight men having gay sex, and enjoys watching that theme in videos.

The fantasy, in my perception, is that a true straight man is unobtainable for gay sex. It’s more about the chase, and trying to obtain the unobtainable. To generalize and suggest that gay men who fantasize about straight men having gay sex is the same as saying everyone, no matter what their sexual preference, are self-hating, -loathing, and -deprecating should they fantasize about any unobtainable person. How many people fantasize about unobtainable celebs? Are all those people self-hating/loathing/deprecating?
To say that a healthy gay man should only fantasize about gay sex between gay men suggests that a straight man should only fantasize about straight sex between a heterosexual man and a heterosexual woman (which means if he watches lesbian porn he is self-hating/loathing/deprecating). Likewise, a transsexual should only watch transsexual porn or s/he is self-hating. I could go on with examples but I think you get the idea.
Am I understanding this correctly? I am really interested in an open discussion about this because I’ve seen similar comments on blogs, websites, and forums and it doesn’t make sense to me.
I personally don’t think it’s “self-hate” thing but speaking for myself…and in the line of work that my husband is in I am always surrounded by a lot of straight guys often …it’s more the titillation factor…especially when the straight guys know you’re gay. And there are nowadays some straight men that love to experiment. Getting a straight guy in the sack is an interesting experience. To say the least.

And instead of launching yet another “straight” gay porn site, why not give the surfers something different. Show gay men hot things they can do with other gay men.
And at what point does a straight guy stop being straight? And isn’t there just a little bit of homophobia in calling some of these guys straight? I mean there are guys on well-known gay porn site who have been fucking guys for several years now, are they really “straight” and what does that say to gay men about who they are and coming out?
I think its all the available/unavailable thing. Sadly in gay/straight communities when a guy knows you like him (girl or guy) there is some interest lost. But when someone won’t give you the time of day, you are often more stimulated. You know how guys they treat girls/guys like ass always get the most sex and nice guys get the least type of deal. Am I making any sense?

Everyone is unique and has their own path in life. Publicly defining someone in a degrading negative way for what they enjoy sexually seems cruel and pointless.
What you are really doing is trying to do by defining others is define yourself.
Do we really enjoy watching straight guys so much? Or do porn sites tells us we do? For years now, every other porn site that opens is packed with straight guys. Get a new idea people, this one’s been done to death.
