Found this article with some helpful tips on how to speed up your server, Apache, and if you are using VPS.
Now it is all greek to me, but maybe some of you techie type guys might be interested.

A follow up on this.
I had my host do the tweaks mentioned in the article, and had added eAccerlerator.
That was their recommendation, plus there is a wp plugin to further help use this feature or addon. (like I know? :bang: )
Uploaded to m wp-content directory and wow, darn thing was like instant compared to the few seconds it took before.
So far, knock on wood, a good move.

Do not use the plugin it will delete your categories
