Sure well fair is fair but come on…4 months! I think if someone ate daily at a resturant then requested a chargeback for 90 meals it would be seen as absurd!
There should be a reasonable limit ( 1 month comes to mind ) that is “given” back to a thief…err…I mean “customer”.
Anyway, I at least hope he got friction burns on his scabby cock from our hot content!

Are there ever any reasons given for these charge backs? 4 months does seem a bit hefty. Specially since you don’t use any aggressive sales techniques.

Can you prove they were on the site using your service? If so, fight the chargeback. But if they forgot about the membership I think it’s completely understandable. People don’t look at their credit card statements every month.

Just to add to what rawTOP said, can you prove the CARDHOLDER was on your site? You will never know the answer to that I suspect - it could have been fraud (even within a household) all along.
Like Richard said - the cost of doing business sadly.
Unfortunately with 3rd party companies like CCBill and Epoch you have no recourse to fight it. If they grant the refund or process the chargeback that is their choice.
My chargebacks are low but I have had at least 2 people charge back up to 4 months at once. Bites.

CCBill can’t do anything with Chargebacks. This is a credit card thing. People join a site, they download all your videos and after a month they just call visa saying ‘hey someone used my CC to signup a porn site’ etc. Visa ALWAYS will chargeback their clients. You can’t fight anything, even when you keep track of login ip’s, etc. There is not too much to do.

So, we are talking about $59 (without the processing fees or cuts if the sale was made from an affiliate)?
I’ve had a $100 chargeback, I’ve had 8 month chargebacks, I’ve had all kind of chargebacks in last 7 years… Sure, it sucks, but I would have thought you would have experienced something like this in the past…

Of course I have experienced it before…my site is 14 years old! I was just pissed yesterday!
My chargeback rate is ridiculously low overall.
