Just a polite notice to anyone who might be hosting with Thumblogger, Sensualwriter, sexusblog.com etc.
I will no longer list any blogs listed on these free hosts, all sites who use them that are listed on gaydemon, gaypornengine, bostonboys or bestmaleblogs.com will be deleted.
I’m fed up with their service blocking my scripts, returning error messages on server requests and not even allowing something as simple as screenshots. And most of all, not responding to DMCA notices or any replies to messages sent to them.

I’m sorry, its nothing personal at all. Its just that “they” are blocking all kinds of things, I might add that no other hosts including blogger gives me any problems. Its just thumblogger and their other sites / free hosts.
My logs a full of their server errors and because of it I have no way of making sure all sites listed on my directories are up and working. Neither can I check recip links since they block my checks. Neither can I grab screenshots from the servers… and of course the pages return 503 errors.
But as I mentioned, worst of all they DMCA / contact us pages do not work and you get no replies from them. A host which do not respond to copyright theft issues is not a host I want to deal with. Its not my job to chase them up and make sure their hosting works.

And you’re aware that thumblogger got hacked and most of the sites went offline, and he only just got the hard drive backup reuploaded after sending it off to a company that rescues deleted drives? As to him not answering, he rather has his hands full with literally several thousand webmasters going bezerko on him.

Im sure he got his hands full, but not answering notices about removing blogs that use copyright protected material is just not acceptable. Thumblogger is a host and as such needs to take responsibilty for what he hosts, not ignore it.
The errors I’m talking about has nothing to do with reloading or putting back sites. The sites are there, its just that his servers blocks anything and everything.

If he reinstalled to a previous version of the database, he might have removed those blogs, which are now back because of the restore. Just a possibility.

Old sites just got put back, and anyone who made new sites in the interm of waiting for a disk rescue may or may not still have a site. It’s pretty chaotic. I just have some on sensual writer and sexus … and fortunately missed out on all the thumblogger mess.

No you get me wrong. What I am saying is that the site are up and are working. But the servers of his blocks any requests, so my spiders and scripts can’t carry out the things they need to do.
The server blocks everything, no other hosts does. Its not any evil scripts I’m running, ive been doing it for nearly 10 years now and its just the same as Google does. So if I can’t do it, I bet Google can’t either.
And you’re missing the big point. The guy has been ignoring copyright theft notices for months! What sort of behavious is that?

No I meant perhaps he had been deleting the blogs that he got copywrite reports for, but when he restored the database to an earlier version, those sites might have come back (if the database version he restored from was from before he deleted those sites).

No, unfortunately not.
Even if that was the case. The problem still remains, I have 300+ thumblogger and sensual writer sites listed on gaydemon and bestmaleblogs etc… They all come up with errors now because he blocks “friendly” spiders and scripts. So my system flags all those sites as bad sites, together with sites that are actually bad.
So for me to sort out the bad from the ones that are thumblogger sites, I have to go through each one… I dont have time for that just because some free host has blocked very simple and normal requests. And I dont want to have a index full of sites that are down, missing recip links etc.

I have a bunch of Thumblogger sites listed at Gaydemon and Best Male Blogs, but some time ago I have decided to leave all Thumblogger blogs as they are and I consider any Thumblogger income as additional income. So, actually it is not much of a problem for me.
Twan’s service is okay, but you are right about the quality team who does not react on any notices. It’s a safe heaven for pirate blogs (same as Blogger, since they only show a warning message).

Yes, always best to use a proper host for anything thats important.

The good news is that Thumblogger etc does not block some of my scripts on Bestmaleblogs.com. So your listings / blogs listed on bestmaleblogs will not be removed as long as you have a recip link.
However everything is still being blocked for gaydemon and I have no choice other than removing all of them from gaydemon today.
