New Yorkers are getting their freak on â behind closed doors.
While BDSM enthusiasts tell Metro they have definitely seen more newcomers to the underground sex scene, newly released statistics by adult entertainment site YouPorn show New Yorkers are most exploring their kinky curiosities in the privacy of their own homes.
According to the numbers, searches for BDSM-related porn on the site are up worldwide, likely due to the explosion of popularity for the erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Odd, since there are no leather bars left in NYC. Well, there’s the Eagle but only maybe a quarter of it is full-leather and that’s only one night a week. It’s sad - we used to have 3 proper leather bars here plus a few that were borderline leather.
And even worse - GMSMA, which used to be the biggest gay leather group in the world, doesn’t even exist anymore. The only reminder of it is Folsom Street East.
Another reason I thought the article was interesting, NYC aside, was because it says searches for BDSM-related porn are up worldwide and some of you have mentioned that some of the fetish sites are converting relatively well.
