I’ve done my first and quite basic free site. I could really do with some comments, help and feedback.
Its quite basic and very clean, so basically need to find out what should be done differently to improve it, what works and doesnt work. Any feedback is much appriciated!

One note, there is a large picture on the main page above the gallery links, It would in future sites be a large banner or halfpage ad. Its just that this sponsor didnt have any suitable banner to use.

it’s a nice clean first try, but the text on the galleries isn’t really very tempting. also i think some link lists would definitely consider that big pic a blind linked pic.

Personally I like to thumbnails to be all the same size, not least because its easier to work with for the design. How did you make the thumbnails, just out of interest? Abostonboy recommended using Arles to me a while ago.
I would suggest putting some ad text between rows of thumbnails to get noticed more, as well as at the bottom.
The word “download” seems to work well for me, so thats good you have that in there.
Pleasing to the eye, clean and uncluttered - just like all your designs

Not bad first try, I agree with Basschick on the sales text also, change the text on every page, but very clean which is the way I personally like them

Problem with thumbnails is that the whole site is created by a program i’ve created. Which means im restricted in how the thumbnails are created, it can not create specific size thumbs that are all the same, because its a script… humans can but not this script unfortunately.
Same with the text inbetween the thumbnail rows, it creates all the thumbs all together so cant insert a text inbetween them.
Might add some at the bottom though!

I agree, i do have to put in some work on the text. This one isnt really finished in that sense.
