WAIT! WAIT! You have a boyfriend? DAMN, there goes about half of this board’s fantasies right down the crapper!
I think it’s demon jr’s responsibility to make us happy by posting a nude picture of himself and his bf so we can judge if they’re good for each other.
I notice the tube sites mentioned are not user-submission tube sites. They are a conversion of a private MGP into a private tube site which should fit in perfectly with TGP/MGP traffic and trading.
You’re in the adult industry which is centered around, if nothing else, fantasy. I doubt a little thing like being off the market is going to truly hamper fantasy. rofl
Besides… I’m willing to wager one or two people would have room in the fantasy for one more.
Back to topic though… I think that lately, with the advent of Web2.0 tube sites, more activity on non-industry forums, Myspace, and the ‘reality tv’ thing… the personal / non-personal interactions have gotten to be a great deal more… ‘mainstream’.
I’ve noticed that a lot of amateur content is doing quite well for us, and I think it’s kind of related to the ‘reality’ thing. The next closest thing to reality from tube sites is being there with your hands down his pants. Tube sites offer very candid fodder for the fantasy people are wanting; and the better thing is, that the person posting the video is getting off on knowing that you’re watching them.
They’re not just actors, or porn stars (who may very well love their jobs, don’t get me wrong)… they actually share a ‘fetish’ with the viewer, so it -can- be made into a niche-specific (exhibitionist/voyuer) model… but that’s easily able to satisfy regular viewers. It’s versatile (unlike my last lover), and has a great deal of potential for a webmaster.
That’s why I think that having a -tube site is most certainly going to need to be either in a webmaster’s portfolio, or at least being used in their business model strategy.
Tube sites are much harder work to maintain than TGP/MGP. Lots of sleepless nights because of bandwidth. You really have to find the correct hosting company. 95% billing will put you out of business really quickly.
I think tube sites are a tricky monster… you really have to finesse the bandwidth bills versus the ads or clicks revenues you can get off the traffic. Sounds like a tube site with any volume must have a professional traffic analyzer / accounts manager to maintain the balance properly. TGP’s / MGP’s, while complicated in their formulations and tricks of the trade to make them profitable, seem like a lot less headaches that a tube site
My tgp’s are for the most part, self sufficient. I check a few things daily to make sure all is well but other than that, the only thing I do is import new galleries. Bandwidth costs are higher than some other sites but nothing near what a tube site costs to run.
