Jay, yeah, we’re doing great. Just celebrated our 16th year together. Still living on top of a mountain… Aaron landed a dream job & I’ve started a new “mainstream” business which is going well.
As for the content, yes it will pretty much just disappear. However, it will never be destroyed as you never know what the future holds… Rather than let the sites sit stagnant any longer, only to die a slow death, we thought it was time to pull the plug and move on from what’s truly been a great adventure & experience.
Our sites have served us well and provided a very nice living for a long time. Hopefully someone else can make good use of the domains. Maybe take them to a place/direction we didn’t have the time or resources for.
It’s probably just me but your “DMCA takedown” remark feels like a threat to all the affiliates that have promoted you all these years. I might understand it if you were going to sell the content to someone else but it sounds like you’re just going to store it in your own “Disney Vault” to do who knows what with it, so what’s the big deal if some blog posts are still floating around out there with some of your photos. Giving less than 60 days to remove content or else face a DMCA takedown is kind of extreme isn’t it? You should give people at least til the end of the year and then just send out a friendly “please remove this content” notice before resorting to the DMCA takedown route. Just my two cents. Best of luck with whatever you do next.
Yeah, I just re-read that part as well, and I for one, have zero time to go thru 5 years of blog posts on over 20 blogs to accommodate such a request. I have never had a program make such a request if they were going out of business.
You should just quietly close your doors and leave well enough alone as far as affiliate content that will be floating around.
yeah I agree even if it’s to “retract” something mean and vicious I wrote about someone and then years later became good friends with! lol
it’s always sad when a business closes especially when you’ve put a great deal of time and effort not to mention years and years and years of money into it.
“now that Hillary’s brain clots have returned its looking more and more likely that Donald will be elected in November and the anti-porn platform of the RNC may be adopted and I want everything I ever produced off the internet prior to him taking office”
Seth and Aaron are in the unique position of being porn stars who own the rights to all the videos they’re in. There are only a few porn stars who have they ability to erase their history in porn. It’s a unique situation because there’s a personal component to it. Yet, at the end of the day, they own the content, and we just have a license to use it. They’re rescinding the license and we just have to deal with it.
What is more interesting is what happen to there great opportunity? Yes…I am trying to be nosey…LOL. Two years ago they posted they are going out of business for better opportunities in the mainstream world, and now they are back doing porn again.
Is this a sign that its still better to stay in the porn industry??? Is the job opportunities suck now and no job security is the reason for coming back into the porn industry???
