If you use CCBill - read this…

After a bunch of back and forth about KYC issues with CCBill they flatly stated…

“Please note affiliate accounts have to be under personal name. We can no longer accept companies as affiliates.”

For 15 years they’ve been paying my business, not me personally. My sites are owned by my business, not me personally. Receiving funds in my personal name puts me at huge legal risk since it would allow someone to sue me personally - rather than suing my business.

If you’re an affiliate and run a professional operation and are properly protected behind a company - this means you’ve now lost all your CCBill-based sponsors.

If you’re a sponsor this means that CCBill is eliminating your most professional affiliates - forcing them to send their traffic to your competitors.

WTF! That’s crazy

It just gets worse doesn’t it. At least you’re in the US, they no longer pay by wire making it very difficult for us who’s in other countries.

I guess it will push affiliates to only work with the larger independent programs instead.

I’m not sure how it happened, but my particular situation has been resolved. If someone with contacts raised the issue with folks at CCBill - then thank you!

That’s great news! I’m glad it got resolved.
