I believe under US law at the moment statutory damages are set at 150k per work infringed.
If they are taken down i’ll peg it up to a beginners mistake though… there are a lot worse offenders out there.
teenboysmilk, you really need to be careful with content you upload yourself. This ‘lapse in judgment’ could have cost you 600k, regardless of it ‘not doing well’

Jesus Christ on a cum covered cock you people need to calm down. There is an issue with my contact form plugin I am working on it right now. I am very well versed on copyright law. The cam rips are safe. The performers are the only ones with claims. They are fapping for 20 dollars I doubt they care to pay the legal fees. So Staxus the URL you specified is being removed. Please let me know of any other content you own. Even though your particular instance is hosted on xvideos which makes me not liable I am still taking it down. I am not a dick guys take it easy.

On a lighter note I have added a temporary contact widget in my footer for requests if anyone has more requests. You say this and yet I have made 20x what you have in affiliate sales than your $100 you mention, oh and my sites been running 1 month… Good luck ever getting a decent affiliate agreement after your post here, as not EVERY porn studio out there who runs amazing affiliate programs is now aware your site is full of piracy!.. BelAmi, Staxus, Helix all have reps who check forum and you have just pissed in their faces and insulted them!
There are 2 ways to make this industry work for you, that’s 1- working with your sponsors and not pissing them off EVER… you need them more than they need you and 2- Put 18 hours of your day into creating content, uploading pics/vids and using your keyboard till your fingers bleed and your keyboard is worn down to the buttons!
It actually insults me the way you have spoken to sponsors who I have come to see as friends… ALSO how the heck do you expect to sell a member site subscription (where the money is) when you are giving all the content away for free, you went even make webcam sales as your giving that away too!

This is one of the fundamental problems of the younger generation, this belief that because it’s on the internet it’s okay to do whatever you want with it.
There is something called fair use, using an image to highlight something or provide information is acceptable, but not to mislead, misrepresent, or defraud people - that goes for individuals looking at the content and those who created that content originally.
A blogger might be able to get away with using an image taken from another site, uploaded by a user, because it’s quickly considered to be in the public domain (the same way a journalist can report on information generally known, without requiring a source, or use an image which depicts a person or event and crediting the source) but taking content created by someone else and claiming you can use it as you wish to make a profit from it is theft of intellectual property.
Even if you can claim that the laws are not the same all around the world, they absolutely apply to our business wherever you are, just as a courtesy if nothing else. Companies will not work with you when you are acting in this way.
If you want to be a part of this business and work professionally with companies in order to make a profit, it’s probably better if you don’t charge in breaking various rules and abusing the content of companies you might hope to work with!

So, I emailed the guy to take down a lot of my videos that were on the site… he explained that he is new and apologized and immediately removed not only my scenes but anything that had a watermark.
He also revealed that he scraped the content from:
What little he had, is multiplied greatly by his source. So, that seems to be the real target our respective lawyers should go after.
