I’ve heard that other webmasters do quite well with Video Secrets but not me. I have their rotating “live” banners on about 50 of my blogs… it’s the 200px wide banner that swaps out a new live model every few seconds. I have this in a prominent location on all of my blogs, right up on the home page corner. These have been there for about a year and I get decent traffic on all my sites yet I’ve only made about $20 from VS so far.
If anyone here does well with VS would you mind sharing which of their promo tools you use? I picked the rotating live banner since it seems like the most click-worthy to me (I find myself clicking on one of their models often just to take a peek!).
Or is this just a case of a “whale” not clicking on my VS links yet?
Since the VS banners are taking up a valuable piece of real estate on my sites I’m really thinking about replacing them with something from another sponsor that will make me money.

If its a cam site… you might try Streamen at wm.mtree.com-- I’ve made the most for them and they have high quality models.
iFriends and IMLive have also performed well for me but Streamate/Streamen/MoneyTree has done the best.
And I’d be glad to give you some pointers with them if you want to use my affiliate link I made $4k with them a night when doing a certain trick I know.

I’ve only seen VS work inside membersite. The link is there, I don’t push it any more because it doesn’t work, same with all cam sites. In free areas people can just go to cam4.

I always had problems promoting cams to the gay market. I think a lot of gays don’t care about cams. They just want to hookup and there are enough sites for that.

I just got an email from Buddy Profits about a new white label cam site they’re starting… I think it’s called “pornication”? Anyone familiar with it? At this point I’m about ready to drop Video Secrets.

Well I am starting one, and I have to say, the response from them in answering my questions was unbelievable fast. They certainly seem to know what they are doing, and hopefully it’ll pay off.
Least they reply to questions. That is a big start & plus, in my books.

Pornication is around since ages but they now introduced white label too. Never had luck promoting it, not enough male models online IMHO
Maybe now that they re-launched it they added some new performers…

I have sent them numerous emails and never a response which is unusual. I’m hoping that they’ll see this thread and get in touch with me. Or maybe someone can point them to here? I’m afraid that perhaps our emails are getting blocked or put into their “spam folders” I don’t know LOL.

I think it’s because… You could join one of the cam paysites such as CBL, Frat Pad, etc. for one flat price where as you would have to buy a package of minutes and tokens to view and all of that crap. The prices fluctuate so perhaps you may have better success at promoting a cam paysite.
But there’s also a lot of free cam sites. They are camfrog.com, cam4.com, adultfriendfinder and that’s just to name a couple. You can’t compete with free. People talk. The more people you tell about free sites, the more they are going to turn their heads away from their wallets. Which really sucks. These free sites don’t understand or care to understand how much they are saturating and diving down the industry.

I didn’t go for anything fancy, which they offerred such as having my own logo on it, but they did mach my site’s (static) color scheme, and did a pretty good job.
It really was simple, and they even notified me when there was a delay, plus when they put it live.

I wouldn’t say gay cam sites don’t work - I think that it has to be targeted though (cuz guys who own cameras tend to give it away for free… so why pay for something you can get everywhere?)
Honestly, LiveMuscleShow makes more than all our other sites combined, and our affiliates make more money from it than any other site - even though they mostly promote MuscleHunks (because we cascade) -
The best way to promote cam sites is also the most labor intensive - blogging about it Post a photo of the model, do a show with that model, and then write about your personal experience doing the show.
I am pretty generous giving out free minutes to my affiliates - I imagine other sites are too, so ask them.
I made $4k with them a night when doing a certain trick I know.
