Just curious how much people’s Klout scores fluctuate⦠I wasn’t paying much attention to @HotNakedMuscle and it was dropping a few months ago. Then I started doing stuff with it and now it’s gained 13 pointsâ¦
But for @rawTOP it’s a pretty hard slog to get it to go up. When I wasn’t paying attention to it, it dropped to 55, then I worked hard and got it back to 60, and now it’s like pulling teeth to get each additional point over 60. I know that’s by design (Klout gets harder as you go up), but still⦠As you can see it can take me 3 months to go up one pointâ¦
If I could do more on Facebook that would probably help, but that’s difficult with porn, and when I do post stuff on FB the reach sucks these days - so honestly I’m not sure how much help FB would be to Klout.
The majority of my accounts are pretty consistent between 53 and 64 and often I see no changes for months.
I do have some small accounts as well and they have a much lower score (40+) and those gain and lose points constantly.
So, this actually confirms what you are already saying; the higher score you have, the more difficult it’s going to be to increase any further.
While I do like Klout to measure success on social media, I think it’s a bit overrated (just like Google’s Pagerank and Alexa rank). I still look at all three from time to time, because I like to set goals for myself and try to rank better, but in the end it’s traffic and - most of all - sales that really matter.
Hmmmm… I only have Twitter linked to Klout…
and today my score @JoeSchmoevideos is 52… Ive seen it swing as much as 3 points in a week… The new Klout format though I think makes it a little easier for the klout folks to measure your reach if you share what they recommend… When I do that…My score goes up pretty quickly…Its all SFW stuff…which kinda fits in with my crowd…since I dont tweet that much porn anyway…Just enough to let folks know what I do…and that im ‘porny’
I dont have that many followers… but some are ‘influential’ and I think that matters…
Mine doesn’t seem to fluctuate that much, it’s been fairly steady, increased by a point or two each month. Not sure it will keep doing that for much longer though. Been at 58 now since July 17th.
Mine’s been pretty steady hovering around 55 but I hadn’t checked it in awhile and I just noticed my Facebook page needed to be re-authorized. ARGH… It’s only been a couple days but I’ve noticed it’s creeping back up now…
Well, it only takes data from social media which means there is no connection to how big or popular your site itself is. You don’t even have to have a website at all to get a Klout score.
But a Klout score doesn’t say much about the number of followers, likes or fans you have either, cause it looks at many more factors. For example, if you are in connection with users that have a high Klout score, they will influence your score a lot - especially when they actively engage. It’s as useful (or useless) as Google pagerank
