Just a thought… is anyone filming with Go Pros? I have been thinking about using them for the behind the scenes footage. They are smaller to pack than my usual cameras when we are travelling and have a nice wide angle when required. Surely someone has started doing these. They’d even be fun for the models to hold.

we did a lot of our action documentaries in South Africa with them… taped to the end of a pole for driving footage, attached to hang gliders and on boards for sand surfing… we were quite happy with the results

yeah, we shot some stuff with GoPros, especially doing So You Think You Can Fuck, where we had them on gimbles as people were running through obstacle courses, etc…

Yes, although had so issues with the cameras themselves.
firmware, cards etc.
Don’t use them anymore. (Black Hero 3 edition) , new one may better.

Great feedback guys! I’ll try them out for our BTS content over summer. The content made on the new 4’s look pretty good.

Gotta say… I’m loving the new GoPro. So much fun… and they can be fitted pretty much anywhere in a room. I’ll just use it for BTS content for the moment. I think they angle a bit too strangely for the actual videos.
