I don’t think I’ve ever seen this topic discussed. With so many male pornstars signing “exclsuive” contracts with studios lately it made me wonder how much these guys are making.
I know we probably won’t get a hard answer here but let’s speculate: I’m thinking that to lock a guy into an exclusive deal they must be making at least $24K a year. That would be maybe 12 scenes (one a month) at $2K a pop?
Of course I have no idea. Just curious.

That’s a tough question. Titan Men could certainly afford to pay an exclusive more than Butch Dixon could. So I think the answers are going to be all over the map. But I think you’re in the ballpark: $2 - 4K a scene I’d say.
Don’t forget that a lot of exclusives are flown and accommodated wherever the filming is taking place. So while they might get $2k for a scene, they also get their flight and accommodations paid, and that gives them the opportunity to set up escorting dates on the studio’s dime. So they might make $2K for the scene, another $1000 - 2000 for the flight and accommodations, and they could earn another couple of thousand in escorting fees.

and a lot of exclusive models can do paid live events which are available to them because they are well known. if they time 'em right, they can do events - clubs and stuff - each time they get flown to a new spot to make a video.

Yes, that’s true. I forgot about that. Marcus Mojo and Austin Wilde, which have their own sites with Buddy Profits, are doing shows at a Pride party here in Toronto at the end of the month.

also on fabscout, a bunch of the better known guys are labeled with an asterisk, which leads to this footnote "*This model is a Studio Exclusive and is only available for Club Appearances".

I forgot about the non-porn work. That makes sense because realistically I would think a guy would want to make at least $30K, $40K or more in order to be “exclusive” for a year. So maybe doing all that other stuff makes it profitable for them.
