As a Full Stack Web Developer at Carnal Media, you will be responsible for reporting to our Senior Web Developer. You will need to be comfortable working on projects both independently as well as on a team, and be capable of receiving direction, constructive feedback, and overviews. Key parts of the position are – good file organization, ability to code across multiple platforms, attention to detail, and familiarity with current technologies.
The ideal candidate loves male adult content, is a self-starter, and thrives in a virtual workplace (we use Dropbox, Slack, and Google spreadsheets every day).
This is a full-time, paid position. It is remote. A reliable internet connection and computer is required. You can work on your own schedule, but our company work week is Monday-Friday.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
WORDPRESS EXPERT
- Theme customization
- Plugin management / customization
- Wordpress hosting / administrative experience (file permissions, migration, database backups, troubleshooting)
HTML / CSS EXPERT
- Strong HTML experience
- CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation
- SCSS, LESS experience
- Clean and efficient coder for CSS
- Good eye for design, layout, and colors
- Ability to convert Photoshop mockups to HTML / CSS
- Smarty template engine experience a plus
- Experience testing with one of the following Jest, Ava, Mocha, Jasmine, or similar technologies
JAVASCRIPT
- Strong Jquery, Pure JS coding experience
- Familiar with React, Redux, ES6, Typescript and/or Flow, Babel, Webpack, or similar technologies
- REST APIs
SERVER SIDE CODING
- Experience with PHP, MySQL, and Python
- Authentication methods
- Ability to understand PHP code, and make minor edits
- Sufficient experience with PHP to create small plugins or edit wordpress plugins.
OTHER EXPERIENCE
- Zendesk experience is a plus
- Proficient with Git and version control
COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION
- Candidate should be proficient in English
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work remotely
- Team player
- Independent worker but not afraid to ask questions or for help when needed.
