Better Conversions: GayHotMovies v. Maleflixx ?

I’ve tried GayHotMovies and not been impressed with the conversion rate. Their prices seem good, and they even run on Roku, so I was surprised.

On the other hand, I think their UX is pretty ugly. And what’s the value of a 15 minute free sample anyway? That would get me from 9pm to 9:15pm on a Saturday night. Not exactly getting you through the night.

So I’ve been switching back to Maleflixx, who I’m used to. Does anyone have any GayHotMovies/MovieDollars success stories?

pocoloco and I have sounds set up to play whenever Stats Remote registers a new sale. pocoloco’s plays a church bell and mine plays a bubble sound.

So we’ll be chatting and I’ll say, “Oh! I just got a bubble!” And pocoloco says, “Oh good!” Then I come back and say, “It was only Hot Movies. I made $1.29.” And we all groan.

That’s my story.

But seriously, Hot Movies has good conversions and good $ / click, it just takes forever for me to hit a minimum because I’m not throwing heaps of traffic at it. And because I’m only earning $1.29 per shot, or whatever it is, I don’t put in a lot of effort.

Well, I got this in email on Monday

We’re in the process closing out inactive affiliate accounts so we can better support our active affiliates.
It has been over 6 months since you’ve sent customers to Moviedollars and your account has been disabled.

That pretty much sums up my sales with Movie Dollars.

I got a $10 sale last week because someone bought a 515 minute package to watch Jet Set’s The Hole. But still - why aren’t they coming back and buying more? I suspect it’s because the site design is cluttered and isn’t particularly helpful to people who want to watch porn, or perhaps it’s an overall trend with VOD sites?
