Age verification = the death of sales?

Can I ask which verification service you are using?

Cool, same here but our Programmer is trying to get it to work on first member log-in instead of pre-join. Your method with a PG tour sounds a lot more promising though, hopefully we can get it working soon. We’ve definitely seen a drop in sales since adding it pre-join.

Just a thought. Do you have specific stats for sales in those states or are you just comparing overall sales before and after using age verification?

I didn’t use any specific stats for those states in the before analysis… just for the ‘after’

Just thinking that if sales in those states are lower than the average, then the impact would seem less. It wouldn’t then be reliable to use as a measure of what would happen if all traffic went through age verification.

They are mostly lower sales… except Florida and Texas

What are everyone’s thoughts on hosted videos provided to affiliates? If they are on our server and someone links to them using a video player, that would make us on the hook?

I’m guessing anything that can be accessed by someone without age verification would count. At least that would make sense. Is it a major issue, probably not. And the ones displaying the video are more likely to be blamed than the host.

Just that everyone knows. Texas is starting to sue foreign companies.
To be specific Xhamster.

have you got the link to new story? interesting to read.

Fun fact, its not a new story, but from March 2024!

As far as i know mid April there will be some of the cases on trial. But not sure if these or others. As he did sue more companies, like MetArt (str8).

And till mid 2025 19 US states will have such laws:
