recently it’s come up a few times that a site with 100% exclusive content has decided to completely mirror itself using a different domain and a very similar but not identical tour.
i would think that if one was to mirror content, it would make more sense to have a totally different-looking tour and member area. the sites are advertising on many of the same link lists and review sites, and they’re all in scarce niches, so chances are that a large percentage of the same surfers will see both.

I really think there should be different designs, I am sure the purpose is to reach different geographic areas as there are some niches familiar in one area that another may not have heard of. Or at least in the disclaimer let people know that there are 2 identical sites and the reason for it.

Sounds like it might work to sell SG4GE to women too. I’m not sure how many women buy porn but it’s worth a shot.

well mirroring content on to other domains and calling it a “new” site can and will cause you trouble especially if the site is in a niche where there are not many other sites as you will end up having surfers joining both at one time or right after each other…
Most often this will lead to either an angry customer wanting a refund or simply a chargeback…
The company i work for have tested this out and we always ended up with people joining more than one site using the same content and complaining about it feeling cheated etc…

That being said… the new Cocksure Men site contains a lot of the content from Jake Cruise, but nothing that features Jake. Both sites will be offered as a low-priced upsell to the other, so nobody is going to be paying full price for the same content.
Most of the content, of course, will be original, but there’s lots of people who wanted to see Jake’s men but not Jake. We figured that to launch with a big back catalogue of the best JC scenes without Jake was a great way to give people great value off the bat, but it’s certainly not just a clone with all the same content.

OK so a few years ago I decided to "mirror"our sites. At the time it was a fantastic idea… Half the work with double the exposure…
Now, several years later, I actually regret it.
While our bareback themed site (BarebackPlace.com) converts much better with much of the same content as GUYSonVIDEO.com, overall we have seen a huge overall decline in sales.
Based on that, we are planning a major change in the coming months. Brand new content for both sites and completely (or somewhat) separate member areas.

The funny thing though is that for me, your Mirror sales better than the main site. Not sure if thats because of the name or the tour.

Personally if a site is mirrored, as a review site owner I would preferably have both sites listed but clearly marked up as duplicate. At least the mirror.
