Can anyone recommend a video player thats any good? I’m on Vista and got Windows Media Player 11, but it seems to be causing my system to crash every so often. And I mean total crash, everything locks up and I have to switch the PC off at the mains.
So need an alternative to Media Player that is easy to use and works well with most video files (main wmv, mpeg)

I’m pretty happy with VLC Player, and it’s free. It plays pretty much every format on the planet

I use KMPlayer
I think it’s more stable and polished than VLC, and plays just about anything. It can also play high bitrate videos on slower computers.

VLC seems to work really well. No crashes since I started to use that. No idea why but Windows Media Player 11 will just make Vista crash after I played a few videos.
