New HazeCash site: Project City Bus

Re: New HazeCash site: Project City Bus

Steve I think the point that I and others are trying to make is that even the biggest and best companies stumble sometimes when it comes to branding and marketing, going back to the famous new Coke fiasco to the more recent Netflix goof-ups. This is not meant to be a criticism of you or your company, just an observation from a lot of people who have also been in this biz for awhile. Maybe one day you’ll come to agree with us, maybe not. I just think that its a shame that such a great concept got stuck with a bland name. You’re also leaving the door open to some other company stealing the premise but giving it a better name so I’d be concerned about that. Anyhow, best of luck with the site and I’m sure it will make us all some nice cash.

Just one suggestion: maybe next time you launch a site you could survey some of your affiliates first and ask them for feedback or even vote on some name possibilities?

hey msm you are right in terms i took it a bit far, and your examples are definitely noted. while i don’t necessarily agree that we have made an error to that level yet, it’s perhaps young. and as i touched on earlier, we had reasons, some of which i said and some of which i haven’t because there is strategy behind it.

honestly, i gather what the consensus has said; the name is a let down in many people’s eyes. and right now we can’t change anything about it. you’re definitely right, there is opportunity for someone to take our concept and rename it, or even do what happens to us a lot with affiliates pushing traffic to rewatermarked knock off names. but we did things for a reason, and while i wish we could survey names for sites, it would never work. because as soon as we did, there would be someone out there trying to swoop in and beat us to it. but in the future, i hope that we don’t let the general public down in our creativity
