I’m looking to do a bit of remodelling on Fantastic Foreskin, both the tour page (episode style) and the members area.
I use Elevated X and I just had my templates updated. This erased all my customizations, so I have somewhat of a blank slate. I feel like it’s the perfect time to hire someone to freshen it up a bit.
I would greatly appreciate advice from the sharp minds on here about ideas to make the tour better. (Seriously, I am in awe of how brilliant the people on here are!) Many of you folks are also affiliates, so your advice is even that much more valuable.
So, looking at the tour that comes up on FantasticForeskin.com, what would you do? How can this tour get me more members? How can it just plain look better. Be honest (but be nice cuz I’m kinda sensitive!).

Robert, You know I love your site and have always promoted you as best I can since you started. To be honest there is nothing you need do to change the site. Your models are great, especially Zack Randal, and you stick to the main draw which is the great foreskin scenes. However I would say that your affiliate stuff is hit and miss. With all the hundreds of emails I get weekly if I don’t see these hot guys, I don’t always remember your there. Keep the updates weekly and push your product more aggressively… Its a unique and a very good product, but we all need reminding your there sometimes x

I agree, I’ve seen hell of a lot worse tours than yours. I think in your case its really about cosmetic changes rather than actual improvements. Of course you can make it more “beautiful”, but I think we all can do the same to our own sites. It does however make it harder to give good advice.
For me personally, if I had to pick what I like the least (but I don’t necessarily know how to make it better…) it would be:

It strikes me somewhat as a default template used by other sites. Following the same type of layout or default templates. That might be because I’ve seen a lot of other sites though. saying that it’s a very practical layout.

It’s quite boxy, nothing wrong with boxes but it can end up being too square when there are many of them. Maybe having a frame around a image that has a single black line around it, just tips it over… it’s sort of doubling up the boxyness. Look at Chaosmen’s new design, it’s lots of boxes but feel less boxy if you know what I mean. That could also be due to being more space between things.

I prefer model pages with more models on each page, it gives a much better impression of being a big site even if it means less pages overall. you could potentially use a trick by using larger images for each model and only have 3 images per row but more rows per page. not sure i would bother having models by name/a-z

maybe think about structuring each update slightly differently. the layout for each update or episode on the tour pages feels a bit chaotic. I really like how Staxus.com have done their pictures. Notice how it feels a bit more organized, the larger image lines up with the smaller. the smaller images don’t go below or above the large one etc.

The biggest improvement you could probably do is changing your header. I rather like the logo text it’s recognizable so wouldn’t really change that. But it doesn’t have to take up the full width of the header and the boxes below the title part might not be needed.
BUT
You have something others don’t have. Something that makes all the difference. A great personality and very good theme that you have stuck too and carried out very well, probably better than anyone else before you. Those are your biggest assets.

Thanks for the very thoughtful comments. That’s a big help. I was just talking to a designer tonight. I think i’m going to go with him.
I’m going to discuss your ideas and work them into the tour design. He was telling me that a tube-style tour converts the best. I’ll be working on one of those after I get some of my fixes and upgrades done. I’m sure affiliates will be happy to have some choices!
Again, I really appreciate the ideas, Bjorn, and all you do! The only thing that would make me happier is if you would model for the site!

I just wanted to say how great it is that this site has been as successful as it has been. I remember when you were just talking about setting it up and asking advice from the members here, and I hope that’s what made it as good as it is now.
It’s been a good opportunity to see a site start out from the very beginning and become something great, and long may it continue!

I had spoke with AJ Hall from Elevated X and found out some cool new design things are coming from their CMS. It looks like it may be easier (automatic) for me to freshen the site up. I’m looking forward to seeing what Elevated X has for their users and then I may do some customizations after that to give it my own touch. One of the things I like about the Elevated X CMS is that they’re always working to make things better.

in my experience, that kind of old school header leads to less sales, as does too many perfectly square corners - but the header moreso.
i’d like to see closeups of hooded cocks. your 04/26/2014 has lots of face shots, but no real cock closeups showing the head and foreskin boldly. your site is selling uncut cocks - show them, not just the guys and the action.

Great advice, Basschick. I’ll definitely keep in mind the prime objective: FORESKIN. It’s always good to have a reminder.
I’m planning some changes to the header. What do you think would work better? A design change of a header that looks better integrated and less “inserted?”
