As the topic question says I’m wondering if RentBoy.com is a good place to find and hire models for gay porn. Anyone have any experience with them?

I don’t think we’ve used them as a resource lately, but I know we’ve done so in the past with good success. I know that our Casey Black, the masseuse and content producer for our ClubAmateurUSA scores most of those models from Adult Friend Finder, where there is a huge selection of Amateurs.

Thanks Lisa! That’s one of the things I like about Casey Black, his willingness to discuss where he gets his models. I recall some of his older blog posts went into detail about this topic and I found them very interesting. Most porn producers guard their “secrets” for finding models like its the recipe for Coke or KFC chicken. But I am surprised that Casey still uses Adult Friend Finder… I don’t think I’ve ever met another human being who has actually signed up as a paying member of that site.

If they are local it might be a good place, but from my experience though they would rather stay home and take care of clients then take the time to travel for a porn shoot and probably make less money than they would escorting. But if they are just able to drive to your place and do a shoot they will probably take you up on it.

I found my first batch of models on Rentboy and was very happy. Rentboy let’s me search for uncut guys only and makes it very easy. You can also tell a kit about a guy’s attitude from his profile. They tend to be a bit mote expensive than a lot if amateurs because they are already making money, but I shoot during the day and that allows them to take clients at night.

It looks like most of the rentboys charge $150 - $300 for escort services so would I be right in assuming that most won’t consider anything less than $500 for a j/o video?

If you work with the guy’s schedule, you may just have to pay $50-100 above the escort rate depending on the duration of the shoot. You can also offer to share some photos for the guys to use. I try to make it a win-win for me and the model. Some guys know that being on a porn site can make them more popular as escorts.

You know, that’s what I always thought also but I still see some escorts who won’t even show their faces and others who have dark or out of focus pictures. There should be a “Marketing 101” class that all escorts should take. They’d probably make loads more money if they sold themselves better.
