Yes, I’ve heard good things about Mojo host and they are quick to respond. Like you already use Digital Ocean for smaller things.
We use MojoHost for our sites. I also use Vacares for my own side projects. Both excellent.
We used AWS for a long time, but have since transferred everything to MojoHost - their solution even for our video heavy and stream-heavy bandwidth ended up saving us money.
And OMG the support. Brad is a seriously professional person running a very professional hosting company.
How long have you used Mojo host?
Badpuppy has been with Mojohost since 2013. I have nothing negative to say about them. They bend over backwards to help when we have issues, Brad, one of the owners, is always involved and active in the community and I have no complaints with hardware or bandwidth. They are very proactive company and do exactly what they say.
Thank you, that’s reassuring and good to know!
Payze uses Mojo for their corporate pages.
and I use Mojo for my personal stuff.
Inventive Hosting UK: Been with them for several years and love it. I have my choice of where my servers are located (currently in the UK and Rotterdam). Pricing is great, and they will work with you. The few times I have had issues, the response from the techs is usually within minutes (maybe an hour or two at the very most), and extremely competent. They are also adult-friendly. I am one of those that cares far more about the quality of the service – how fast the servers are, and how fast tech support responds.
We’ve been with NatNet (now TSS) forever and are seriously looking to switch. Email/ticket support from TSS staff is very lackluster. They seem more interested in closing tickets and moving on than actually solving problems. It’s quite frustrating. Only when you pick up the phone and get someone competent in Atlanta does anything seem to happen.
I’m now looking at MoJo for dedicated servers & CDN.
The info in this thread is very helpful. Thanks to Bjorn for starting it and everyone else for contributing.
So far my interactions with Mojo has been very good, they are quick at responding and their prices are very competitive.
100%. Very good, responsive team, that cares. From Brad, Corey, James and Natalie, down to my favorite of their techs in Keith and Eric.
I have been with Big Brain Global for 7 years. Though since some kind of crash they had last year, they moved me to another server and I have been having a lot of trouble with server performance and outages. Right now Bentley has been down for 3 hours. And I think they are waiting until the morning to call someone. They were really good up until last year. But I’ve been dealing with hosting companies for long enough now to see the signs.
All my network is on online now https://www.online.net/en
I had a little issue with adult because they said I have twink content and no notice all are 18+
Except this I’m here since 2 years now.
Server managed by an external company.
Thanks for all the recommendations, I’ve decided to move to MojoHost who’s been very helpful.
I think that is the best move and we aren’t even with them lol.
Not defending TSS (NatNet) since I don’t like their new ticket system either as expressed by others here, but I’m the kind of guy that will pick up the phone and call TSS tech support directly and being in the U.S. affords me that luxury. I can still talk to Mike, Travis, Jim and a couple of the others and they know how I feel about the new ticket system. As long as I can bypass the ticket system and get a hold of them by phone, I’m okay. Still get great service and feel like a valued customer.
Mike and I have talked in detail and he is well aware that many of the customers aren’t happy and conducting meetings to address these issues with TSS execs.
That being said, we are both prospecting and cringing at the idea of making a move.
@Bjorn, we moved to Mojohost about 1.5 years ago. I can’t remember, which is a good thing. It’s been so stress-free.
We’d been with an American hosting provider for YEARS and they booted us during that insane Chaturbate DMCA attack a few years back. Even when it was proven false, the only thing they did was give us access to our content. From there we jumped to HostKey in Amsterdam - HUGE FREAKING MISTAKE. They moved their support to Russia and changed their SLA terms the day after we signed the agreement and there started the year from absolute hell.
Moved to MohoHost and they looked at our configuration, saved us a about $500 USD/m and we now use them with Cloudfare.
When we used AWS, usage escalated quickly and we kept having to increase our package with them and got stuck in a strange spot for ROI. AWS costs were topping $1k a month. Mojo’s solution was a big win.
The biggest thing I can say about MojoHost is that when you ask for white-glove support, you get it. It was like a mountain of stress and trouble was lifted off our shoulders.
