Since I live in a state with one of those crazy age verification laws I’m starting to see messages on porn sites I visit asking me to verify my age. Some, like the one on Chaturbate, said all they need is my phone number to verify my age. WTF? I mean, don’t most teenagers have phones? So how does this prove someone is 18 or older? All it really proves is their parent got them a phone. Or am I missing something?
Maybe it’s just the start of the age verification process?
Im guessing maybe they connect the name on your account to the name on the bill? Not sure this would work outside of the US as I know its easier to get info on bill payers in the US than elsewhere… I am only guessing though.
Using your phone you take a picture of your state issued ID and they verify your age with that.
