Blog with stolen content...

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Squirt you know its not a good idea to post people details on any site, specially not a forum. You know very well that most people will find that unacceptable.

I do think you guys are coming down a bit hard on Rawtop here. Sure he promotes Alphamalecash sites in some degree, but in doing so isnt doing anything directly wrong. I myself have reviews still up for their sites, not that much traffic would go to them and I keep them up for my own reasons.

BUT I dont see you going after everyone else who promotes the sites. There are MANY others and far bigger fish than Rawtop.

If a site is illegal and indirectly owned by someone… well how do you go about establishing what is ok to promote and not? If its an illegal tube site, why has it not been shut down yet?

I’ve said this before, for any affiliate its hard to know who to believe, what to do etc. So should we all listen to anyone about what to do or who to promote? Who decides whats ok and not?

I’m strongly against stolen content of any type, but i think you are barking up the wrong tree here.
Wow lots of excuses and covering your ass, even to the point of asking for your first name to be removed from a post.

How dare you call me rude! I’ve never heard such rubbish. rofl

You’ve plastered your full name all over the web and want to get on my back for posting your first name here? hhmmmm
Re: Blog with stolen content…

The site is banned because I don’t feel comfortable with it and I dont trust the sponsor. I just as a rule do not promote East European twink sites (with come exceptions like BelAmi).

Re: Blog with stolen content…

To be fair,

Rawtop you do promote some quite dodgy sites on your twink site. Its sites that most people wouldnt want to be associated with. If you choose to promote them, it will mean that people will have a go at you for it or at least maybe see you in a more negative way.

Neither would I use any Ning Videos, amateur / home made or not. Ning is such a huge problem with stolen content.

Monstertube is a difficult one since its a tube site AND sponsor. Its up to you if you want to promote them, just as with the other sponsors you choose. But in this case with Monstercocktube, its fairly obvious that they do host stolen content and dont seem to care much about it.

Re: Blog with stolen content…
That’s not true.

You have a couple servers… one with all adult on the rawtop server. On your slicksurface server you have mainstream AND porn sites… some of the pornsites on your slicksurface server with your full name publicly available are:

Bigfeetbigmeat.com
Bighandsbigglands.com
Bighandsbigglans.com
Bignosebighose.com

So you don’t separate your mainstream and adult and you post your photo on your Gaydemon profile as well as on your mainstream sites… again… no separation of your identity.

I’m not sure why my post about your affiliate links to the “Teen Boys Love” site got you on the defensive but I do apologize. Their site is banned here for a reason. Again I apologize. I didn’t mean to offend you or upset you in any way.
So what that he hosts non-adult sites on the same server(s) as his adult sites! That doesn’t mean they’re intermingled. It’s called virtual hosting. Back in my web hosting days, I’d literally have 50 or more small sites on one server. It’s not unusual at all.

Posting his personal info is really really uncool. Not everyone here uses their real name either.

I addressed Rawtop by his first name as he addressed AbostonBoy by his first name in the previous post. I had no idea he would take offense as that was not my intent and he is very open with his sexual experiences in his blogs as well as his name, education, photos of himself both there and here, etc. I didn’t know that he had issues with identity on this board and not his other adult, and non adult, sites.

I agree with the other things you’ve addressed. Who decides whats ok and not ok? I think that’s an individual decision and we as a community decide, as you decided to ban the urls of some of the sites RawTop promotes, which I didn’t know until I pasted the url into a post and it was **** out.

I don’t know rawtop but he seems to have vast life experience, a good education and diverse interests. I’m not sure what else to say other then this thread has been totally hijacked because I used someones first name, which is odd, but I have to get back to work

Re: Blog with stolen content…

The irony is that rawtop bumped this thread and never complained about the guy who stole his content having his information posted here by me, and neither did you.

Rawtop didn’t have a private whois on those domains and he has his photo posted in his GayDemon profile, as well as on his other business, and non business, sites.

I had no idea he would take offense to being called by his first name when he blogs about his sexual experiences and posts, what he is now offended by, publicly on multiple websites for everyone to see… but it’s not ok to “see” here? This is strange to me. I don’t understand. But I really need to get back to work. My intention wasn’t to upset anyone. Thanks for understanding.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

I didn’t mean my post as an attack against RawTop at all. Part of my job every day is protecting BlakeMason content. I take it very seriously and on almost a daily basis send out either a C&D letter or a DMCA letter with MY name and address on it. It’s the first way that a content producer protects his content.

Concerning Alpha Male Cash, I know some webmasters that promote their sites, and I don’t say anything. However if one of those webmasters ever came on a board and said if content producers didn’t have the right to bitch about stolen content because they aren’t removing affiliate XYZ, then I would say neither do you as well.

The blog that RawTop refers to is a tough one for me. I have actually had someone use my RSS feeds as well. Now, my opinion was that in the end I really didn’t care. So, I can see why some wouldn’t mind their feeds being used.

I guess my main point is why should content producers be made to feel guilty when the two basic tools to protect content were not used - a C&D letter and a DMCA?

As I said I will terminate this affiliate as it’s the right thing to do. But, protecting content goes both ways. I still believe that no one has the right to lecture others about supporting thieves of stolen content when they are marketing Alpha Male Cash.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

You are absolutly right, it goes both ways.

Rawtop, can’t you stop promoting AlphaMaleCash if this account gets terminated? Sounds only fair.
